Cities are the heartbeat of every nation. The world has moved to the city – 50 per cent of the world has moved from rural to urban areas. Todays cities represent places of hope and despair. These are the places where you find history, culture and politics at their highest.

With the Urban DTS we are targeting exactly those areas. As a team we want to know God and make Him known in the cities of England and Europe breaking new ground, knowing our own identity in Him, knowing a place of peace in Him and glorifying His name. Our vision is to live out our faith in the cities, to build communities on the foundation of Jesus, drawing the lost by the love we have for one another and for the people around us. We as YWAM Derby are called to go from Derby to England to the ends of the world (according to Acts 1:8). We are joining the vision of YWAM Western Europe to establish 1000 new teams in Europe within the next 10 years. We want to send people out in small teams into areas where no one has been before to pioneer new things to be the salt and light in those places as Jesus called us to be.
